Our story

Hi! I’m Rachel and flowers make me really happy!

I stumbled upon this flower-filled life a few years ago when my family’s schedule and my desire to cultivate beauty around me collided. I love sharing the wonder of God’s creation with those around me, and flowers seem to be the perfect vessel for that!

Bringing beauty to darkness is a huge part of why I do what I do. The Growing Kindness Project propels my work and every bouquet purchased allows me to share beauty with those who need it most.

You will find me most days with my hands in the dirt in my urban flower garden in the heart of Greensboro.

Why Local Flowers?

Did you know 80% of the flowers in the US are imported thousands of miles and preserved by loads of chemicals? When you shop local flowers you are getting fresh, unique blooms that were cut at their ideal time (maybe even this morning!). While we are not certified organic, we strive to use the most natural, safe, and logical pest and disease care.

In addition to fresh, natural flowers, you will also find that our arrangements are quite different that those you will find at a grocery store. From spring ranunculus and anemones to fall dahlias, we strive to wow you with what can be grown right here in NC.
